The first world war canon on the Isle of Hirta, St Kilda.
The gun on Hirta, St Kilda, Scotland. Installed on the island after it was attacked on the morning of 15 May 1918 by the German submarine SM U-90. The attack was mainly against the Royal Navy signal station which was on the island during the First World War.
