Tazza with cover ca. 1550–55, with later restorations French, Saint-Porchaire or Paris As their different color schemes suggest, the cup and cover did not originally form a set. The foot and the stem’s lower section, beneath the ring of white zigzags in relief, are modern replacements. Near the lip of the cup is a band with a flowering vase-and-bird motif. The shield of the powerful Montmorency-Laval family appears on the interior.[Jeffrey H. Munger, 2011]. Tazza with cover 194246
