The rejuvenated art deco, Midland Hotel in Morecambe, Lancashire, UK.

Morecambe on Lancashire's coast was a faded Victorian seaside resort in terminal decline. In recent years the area has seen regeneration driven by Lancaster City Councils, Tern Project, with a view to reinventing Morecambe as a desirable destination. Many of the exciting art projects are themed with birds, especially waders, to reflect Morecambe Bays international importance for migrating waders. The symbol of Morecambe's regeneration is the art deco Midland Hotel, that lay derelict for years but has been completely modernised by the developer, Urban Splash
