City of Glasgow, Scotland. Picturesque night view of the Arthur Pearce designed Doulton Fountain at Glasgow Green, with the Peoples Palace in the background. The Doulton Fountain was built by the Royal Doulton Company to an Arthur Pearce design to commemorate the reign of Queen Victoria. The late 19th century Peoples Palace and Winter Garden, at Glasgow Green, was designed by Alexander Beith McDonald. Steam from the Strathclyde Grain Distillery (whisky distillery) can be seen in the distant background.
