A silver-mounted kard with scabbard, Turkestan, 19th century. Slender single-edged blade of wootz-Damascus with (slightly rubbed) floral gold-inlay on bolster and grip frame. Riveted two-piece grip panels of crystalline walrus ivory with a grip cap of gilt silver, the obverse side florally embossed. Wooden scabbard covered with green shagreen leather, and stone-set silver fittings worked en suite.
