Louis XVI. and his Family ix prison Chapter XCV LOUIS XVI. AND THE FRENCH REVOLUTION i^ VEN in the court of Louis XV. there had been a small party opposed to his evil ways. This was headed byhis son, the Dauphin, an honest, well-meaning man,who lived in retirement with his wife and their threelittle sons, each of whom was to become in turnKing of France.
