Prince Eugene of Savoy (Paris, 1663 - Vienna, 1736). Military and French politician in the service of Austria. He stood out in the struggle for the liberation of Vienna against the Turks and in successive campaigns in the Danube. Monument to Prince Eugene, 1865 that rises on the Heldenplatz, in front the Neue Burg. Pedestal was made by Eduard van der Nüll. Sculpture by Anton Dominick Ritter von Fernkom (1813-1878). Vienna, Austria.
