But while this business has developedenormously it is not the only line inwhich development has been noted. One Rule For All When asked how the cash and carrysystem had worked with the city trade,Mr. Smith stated that it had workedsatisfactorily, and the reason he savefor this was that the store showed abso-lutely no favoritism. It was a hard andfast rule. If they wanted goods deliver-ed there was a merchants delivery thatwould call for them and deliver 200pounds for the sum of 10c, but thecharge was paid by the customer.
