In the retraction of such pseudopodia the proto-plasmic particles must again travel over the same path in thereverse or centripetal direction. The central protoplasmicbody is enclosed in a round, disc-shaped, calcareous shell, which consists of innumerablechambers arranged essentially in concentric rings.
