A Victorian bust of Thomas Campbell (1777-1844) Scottish poet, lecturer, ,editor, founder of the Clarence Club, co-founder of the Literary Association of the Friends of Poland and publisher of lyrical had a hand in founding London University Campbell (University College London) and was later elected elected Lord Rector of Glasgow University. He was buried on 3 July 1844 in Poet's Corner at Westminster Abbey , London.
