Dr. W. D. Black presented a lantern which shows nothing excep-tionally new, except the strength of the lamp and a folding stand which. Fig. 1351 352 can be reduced to about 18 inches in lengtli or extended to the heightof 6 feet. The fact that it can be lowered to 18 inches in length allowsthe physician to carry it in his bag. The lamp is a stereopticon of 100watt, the light is intense and gives great illumination, the focal dis-tance being about 20 inches. The lamp can be turned at any angle and
