From Camden to Atlantic Citythe road has been electrified with a third rail, with the ex-ception of a stretch of track miles in length betweenHaddon Avenue and South Gloucester. Here the trackspass through the city streets at grade and are equipped withthe overhead trolley. In addition to this through route, the line from Newfieldto Millville —10 miles—has been electrified. On this portionof the road the overhead trolley has been installed. New. FIG. 3.—GENERAL VIEW OF WESTVILEE POWER STATION The magnitude of the undertaking can best be appreciatedby studying the map published in Fig. 1, together with thefollowing description: Beginning at the Camden end of the line, an entirely newterminal has been constructed which adjoins the presentferry terminal. The work at this point includes a number ofstub end tracks with suitable sheltered platforms betweenthem, and three-quarters of a mile of new elevated double-track trestle, with stone piers and steel superstructure atstreet intersections, which has been built to connect this ter-minal with the existing lines, at grade, at a point near HaddonAvenue. From a point about 2 miles from Atlantic City a new rightof way has been secured, and after crossing the Thoroughfareon the drawbridge on which the unfortunate accident of twoweeks ago occurred, the tracks cross the Philadelphia & terminal facilities have been provided here, including 100ft. of umbrella
