Aira Force

Aira Force is one of the most famous waterfalls in the English Lake District. With a drop of nearly 70 feet the falls are part of Aira Beck, which flows from the slopes of Stybarrow Dodd down into Ullswater at a point close to the spot that is believed to have inspired William Wordsworth's poem "Daffodils" . Aira Force itself is mentioned in a number of the poet's works including "The Somnambulist"
