While the first roentgenogram yielded a negative result, several monthslater the inner surface of the skull was found to be smooth, sella small, itsfloor thin, the dorsum thin and its posterior surface eroded. The post-moil em confirmed this finding. There was found an apple-sized (crab-apple?) tumor in the left cerebellar-pontiue angle, an edema of the righttrigeminal nerve with a softening of the pons at the point of exit of thenerve.
