ACW MARY - A BATWOMAN - [See News Letter dated 6th February 1943). ACW Mary - one of the batwomen at an station. Her job, although unspectacular is important. By relieving the officers in her charge of the hundred-and-one details of "spit and polish" which make for smartness and efficiency, she contributes to the smooth-running of her station. In addition to looking after their kit, she manages to contrive a home-from- home atmosphere in the officers' quarters that is much appreciated Royal Air Force
