ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 29, 2018) Sonar Technician (Surface) 3rd Class Cody Ellefson mans a .50-caliber machine gun during a general quarters drill aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) as the ship participates in Flag Officer Sea Training March 29, 2018. Ross, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its sixth patrol in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners and national security interests in Europe.
