In my machine, however, it is unnecessaryto hoist the cover by means of a chain block, because thecover goes up on top of the load as it is expelled from thetank by the raised piston; the chain block is only to supportthe cover when it is pulled to one side, and also to furnish ameans for lowering it back on top of the new batch whenthe machine is again charged for dyeing. 975 Atlanta, Ga., STUART W.
