The advantages of the small dental radiographsmade on films held in the mouth over the large plateradiographs are : (i) There is no superimpositionof shadows, and therefore a clearer, better radio-graph can be made on the small film. (2) Thepatient may be seated in the dental chair while the exposure is madewhen small films are used. (3) The time of exposure is shorter for thesmall films.
