One of the ancient arched gateways in Kastro, ancient capital of the Greek island of Sifnos.
Kastro is a village on the Greek island of Sifnos. The town has been inhabited for over 3000 years and was at one time the capital of the island. It is built on a hill that overlooks the sea and the outermost houses form the defensive walls whilst the richer houses are in the centre of the village.
