He married Barbara, fifth daughter of JohnSkene of that ilk, by his wife Elizabeth, daughter of Arthur, ninth LordForbes, who was born 4th July 1676(F), and died 22nd November 1723,her will having been confirmed at Aberdeen, 1st June 1731. By BarbaraSkene John Tytler had three sons :— 1. George, of whom afterwards. 2. John, born in 1712, and died in 1728. 3.
