The monument dedicated to the 4th Regiment Honved, at San Martino del Carso, was built by the Hungarian troops in autumn 1917, after the twelfth battle of the Isonzo. The truncated pyramid was built with the stones of the nearby church, that was destroyed by the troops of the Terza Armata, because they thought that it was an Austro-Hungarian observation post. The stones are engraved with circles, the typical pattern of the Magyar units' memorials.
