Plasmopara viticola or Downy Mildew appears on vine leaves as a pale oily spot on the outer face of a leaf. Later with the right growing conditions, a white powdery spore growth appears on the underside of the leaf. Plasmopara viticola is a potentially devastating disease of grape vines, rapidly spreading to developing bunches.
