VVe found an attendant whospoke French, and through his assistance and his expectation of a fee wevisited an unoccupied box on one of the principal tiers. Each box has a little cabi-net or 2)arlor back of it, where one may receive friends, and a great deal ofvisiting goes on between the acts. The arrangement is an Italian one,and the same feature exists in opera-houses in other parts of Europe.
