England, Cornwall, Penwith Peninsula. Cliff view of the Crown Engine Houses (1832, 1865) of the Botallack Tin Mine, from the South West Coast Path

England, Cornwall, Penwith Peninsula. View straight down to the Crown Engine Houses (1832, 1865) of the Botallack Tin Mine (abandoned in 1914) perched on the cliffs below. These engine houses sheltered massive pumps which drained tunnels that extended a mile beyond the shore. The view is from the South West Coast Path, a long distance foot path, and is in the Aire Point to Carrick Du SSSI. It is owned by the National Trust.
