Several types of composition castings were con-sidered and finally it was decided to use a casting consistingof aluminum, zinc and a small proportion of copper. Thiscomposition is patented, has a tensile strength equal to thatof ordinary bronze and is probably less liable to corrosionon account of its small percentage of copper.
