Steam Locomotive at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, Quainton, taking on water before giving visitors a trip.

An old steam locomotive with two coaches being refilled with water from the crane by the fireman. The 1369 Pannier Tank locomotive in action is known as Beattie. She was built by Beyer Peacock and designed by Joseph Beattie around 1863 and modified as a tender engine in the early 1880's to a design by William Adams. The survival of this one is due to employment on the China Clay branch line at Wenford Bridge in Cornwall. Beattie has been owned by Quainton restoration group members since 1963 and can be seen at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre.
