Siem Reap is the once small town adjacent to the complex of Angkor Wat temples. As a result of the growth of tourism Siem Reap is growing rapidly with a strip of hotels leading from the airport to the town. The use of the Ta Prohm temple for the film “Tomb Raider” has led to tourists clambering to be photographed close to the “Angelina Jolie” tree and a cocktail named after her at one of the many bars in “Pub Street”, the tourist eating area of Siem Reap. Both business and residential growth is marked in the area.
