Mr. Parker early became prominent in themilitia and at the age of twenty was promoted from lieutenant to served as commissioner of highways and since he came to Machias he hasbeen coroner nine years. Like his father he has practiced law in the lowercourts and has been extensively employed in collecting debts. He has alsodealt in horses, cattle, and wool.
