The verbena, which made the place famous, is still largely grown, but more attention is paid to roses. Radiance is popular. A few Perles are still grown. J. L. Dillon, Jr., has taken charge and promises to make good. Wm. Ahlers has purchased the plant formerly owned by the Bloomsburg Floral Co. and has it running in fine shape. Eoses are the main crop. TO CLEAN GREENHOUSE GLASS. Can you tell me what is a good solution to use in cleaning glass in greenhouses? I have seen an advertisement of some sort of mixture for this purpose, but it would cost too much to purchase it in Chicago and have it shipped to this part of Oklahoma. W. W. Without knowing what substance it is that you desire to clean off the glass, it is not easy to state what would be the best cleanser. If you wish to re- move soot or something of that char- acter, it will be necessary to use either a solution of lye or of caustic soda, both of which are easy to get and are not costly. But keep these solutions away from the putty as much as pos- sible, and also from the hands of the operator, as the potash and soda are both injurious to putty or to the skin of the hands. W. H. T.
