St Leonard's Parish Church dates from 1866 to 1869. It occupies the site of earlier churches dating back to 1451 or earlier. The present Grade 2 listed building, designed by a parishioner Mr. William Waddington, is of Modern Gothic 15th century style. It was built in 1869 at a cost of about £8,000 to replace the 1766 church which had become unsafe.
