View ESE of Ffynnon Gwenlais holy well & source of the Gwenlais river guarded by an ancient yew tree some 1,500 years old & considered to be protector of the Gwenlais Valley. The double spring issuing from limestone is said to have been brought into being by the murder of a virgin on this spot: possibly St Tybie, a daughter of St Brychan.
