State flags were staged for the competitors to grab before they crossed the finish line during an unknown distance ruck march near Lynchburg, Tennessee, July 29, 2022, as part of the National Best Warrior Competition. Carlson and Spc. Nathaniel Miska placed first in both the Minnesota and Region IV Best Warrior Competition, securing their spot in this National Competition.
