Pokhara is renowned for its setting rather than its historical or cultural endowments. Its peaceful lakeside location and proximity to the Annapurna mountain range mean it is an ideal place for recovering from (or gearing up for) a trek. Treks can be organised here as there is a good supply of guides and porters. We have just made it to Sarangkot (1592m) planning to take some Himalaya pictures.
