'I want my vote!': postcard of a shouting black and white kitten. The background is in the colours of the Women's Social and Political Union (the suffragettes). The same image of an angry & demanding kitten was used with a series of captions in the early 20th century (a sort of Edwardian meme), other captions used included 'I want my ma!' and 'I've got my pension!'. This was one of many postcards issued in the early 20th century which portrayed animals or babies (rather than adult women) as engaged in the campaign for votes for women.
