A 3D-printed orthodontic mold is prepared for examination at the 18th Dental Squadron dental laboratory on Kadena Air Base, Japan, June 22, 2022. 3D printing an orthodontic mold eliminates the lengthy shipping time that is usually needed for the 18th DS when servicing a patient that is located at another Indo-Pacific Command installation.
