A decided improvement has taken place in cut flower conditions since a week ago, and everything now points to a satisfactory fall and winter business. The supplies of asters continue large and of fine quality, but the blooms are cleaning up much better. Some good indoor-grown flowers have wholesaled for as much as $5 per hundred. Such frosts as we have had do not seem to have injured asters. Many late gladioli still arrive, but the season for these will soon end. Eoses are in heavy supply, but are cleaning up much better, at im- proved prices. Ophelia remains the best seller. Ward
