A beautiful spring morning under blue sky's sees two a wide beam boat passing a moored narrow boat on The Leeds and Liverpool canal in on the wide open plains of West Lancashire On the Leeds and Liverpool canal in West Lancashire a old working boat “Pauline” passes a modern working boat, “Emma Maye”, also known as The Wool Boat. “Pauline” is a former West Country Yorkshire Keel, She was used as a cargo carrying vessel and has now been converted for some one to live on or take holidays on. Pauline is on her way into Liverpool to a event in the Albert dock to mark the relaunch following restoration of the steam tug “Daniel Adamson”. The event is “Steam on the dock” and will feature steam powered boats, traction engines, lorries and trains. The Wool Boat is a modern narrow boat that as well as being a home is also the worlds only floating wool, yarn and knitting shop.
