The handsome building we are illustrat-ing has recently been added to the group ofbiological laboratories of H. K. MulfordCompany at Glenolden, Pa. The building is constructed entirely frombasement to roof of hollow tile and concrete,making it a fireproof structure throughout. It is divided into departments, each de-partment being a unit, and complete in it-self. The east end of the building is de-voted to the handling of serum and globu-lin products. On the first floor bleedingsare received from the bleeding room, serumor plasma is removed from the clot or fromthe corpuscles, as the case may be, and theproduct stored immediately in cold-storage. livered to the group of antitoxin and serumfilling rooms. The special apparatus used for thispurpose is guaranteed to remove 98 per cent,of suspended matter from the air suppliedto these rooms. Not only is the air filteredbut its humidity and temperature are con-trolled thus giving the employes the benefitof the best possible working conditions.
