Carved Brass Bell In St Beunos, Clynnog Fawr, Wales

The oldest part of the St Beunos church is believed to be the eastern crossing, dating from the 1480s. The western tower and two-storey vestry are from the early 16th Century. The Church is on the site of a much older monastery & college called a clas founded by Beuno in around 630 AD. His tomb is in a chapel adjoining the church. The church is a traditional stopping place for pilgrims on their way from Caernarfon to Bardsey Island. Perpendicular Gothic architecture.
