The original of this specimen, which is the type of the species, is believed to be in the Museum at Pisa, and is described and figured by Meneghini in the Atti Soc. Ital. Sci. Nat. vol. iv. pi. i. a ; the right upper carnassial is re- presented in the accompanying woodcut (fig. 28). The Pig. Lutra campani.
