One of the earliest, of good qual- ity and of medium size ; a fine forcer, small top. Early Eclipse. Smooth and round; skin and flesh in- tense red; fine grained and sweet; an excellent sort for forcing. Arlington Favorite Blood (See NoveltiesV A dark-leaved, early blood variety, closely following Eclipse in maturing, but of much darker color and superior in quahty; per- fectly round; it differs from the other blood sorts in that it has the sweetness of the Bassano; excellent for market.
