Various Notes. The Eoepke Floral Co. is well pre- pared for the bedding season with an unusually large stock. E. E. Eandall, with S. T. Hitz & Son, had good success with Columbia this year. He also had a fine crop of Bussell and Ward. This firm has 14,000 gera- niums with which to meet the demand. August Bender, recently with the In- dianapolis Flower & Plant Co., is now with the Bertermann Bros. Co., having charge of the conservatory at the store. Isaac Bayersdorfer, of Philadelphia, called on the local trade this week. Several of the local flower stores do- nated flowers for the home-coming of the 150th Field Artillery. The Circle Flower Shop had a balcony built over the store and two young women in May day cos- tumes showered the soldiers with flowers as they marched past. Clarence R. Greene's flower store is the first in the city to have Shasta daisies. Baur & Steinkamp have a nice lot of hydrangeas coming on. The Bertermann Bros. Co. furnished a quantity of flowers to the school chil- dren for the welcoming of the Rainbow Division soldiers. The company also had several decorations for the occasion.
