Navy Aircrewman Matt Gardner holds the IV bag of an Indonesian woman during a humanitarian aid mission to Banda Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia, on Jan 4, 2005. Helicopters from the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Carrier Strike Group are providing humanitarian assistance to areas devastated by the Dec. 26, 2004, tsunami that struck the Indian Ocean. The Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is currently operating in the Indian Ocean off the coasts of Indonesia and Thailand as part of Operation Unified Assistance. Gardner is from Phoenix, Ariz., and is assigned to Anti-Submarine Light Squadron 47.
