Real estate developer and investment company Simply UK has begun construction work of a care home at Preston, Lancashire. The £ 69-bed property, which will feature views over Preston Marina, will consist of a separate 16-bed assisted living complex on site. The design team consists of Convery Prenty Shields Architects, JNP Group Consulting Engineers. The plans include 64 bedrooms as well as a three-storey building with 16 supported living apartments for adults with learning difficulties. Care staff would be available 24 hours a day. The home is specially designed for residents with dementia and will have a wellness suite and lounge, quiet rooms, cafes, a hairdressers, a shop and reception area.
