Skylab space station space-walk. US astronaut Edward George Gibson (born 1936) about to perform an extravehicular activity (EVA, space-walk) from NASA's Skylab space station in Earth orbit during the Skylab 4 mission. Skylab was the first space station launched and operated by NASA. It orbited the Earth from 1973 to 1979. Photographed by mission commander Gerald Carr, on 3rd February 1974.
