Giant spiny frog (Quasipaa spinosa) from below, showing its underside. This frog is found in southern China. It reaches a relatively large size for frogs (10 centimetres in length) and is named for the spiny chest of the males (spines at upper centre). For the foot spines, see C021/6427. This frog is considered a delicacy and medicinal resource in China, where its conservation status is vulnerable. Photographed in Guangdong, China.
