An optical phenomenon known as an icebow or fogbow, which is produced by light interacting with suspended ice crystals in the atmosphere, occurs near Coast Guard Cutter Healy Sept. 2, 2015. Healy is underway in the Arctic Ocean in support of the National Science Foundation-funded Arctic GEOTRACES, part of an international effort to study the distribution of trace elements in the world's oceans.
