Petty Officer 3rd class Roderick Anderson stands focused despite the elements during flight operations on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) in the Persian Gulf on Dec. 1, 2004. Truman and its embarked Carrier Air Wing 3 are providing close air support and conducting intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions over Iraq. Anderson is a Navy aviation boatswain's mate assigned to the Crash and Salvage Team.
