New York, USA. 19th April 2016. Jeremy Douglas, UN representative in Southeast Asia for its Office on Drugs and Crime addresses progress and challenges in controlling illicit drugs during the special session. High-level ministers from Asia's "Golden Triangle" conferred with UN experts on responses to drug production and trafficking in the world's second largest opium-producing region. Delegations from China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand as well as Laos and Cambodia met at UN headquarters in New York as part of a week-long General Assembly special session on the World Drug Problem.
