Aerial on a rocky outcrop at Castrovalva, built on top of a rocky spur is a solitary and quiet hamlet of about thirty people. Situated in the Province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It overlooks the Natural Reserve of the Gorges of the Sagittario (Riserva delle Gole del Sagittario) and the area is also known for the magnificent Valley of the Lakes.
